The new View Thru Insect Monitoring Trap© (Patent Pending) pictured below is designed to be hung in trees with the use of an installation pole. The installation pole has a clip on one end and a spring shaped snagger on the other end. There is no longer a need for the metal hanging hook that is commonly used with Jackson traps today. Advantages of the View-thru trap:
|
|
![]() |
Clip the trap onto the installation pole as shown. |

Reach up into the tree and push the trap on to a tree branch. The plastic hook bends out of the way and then snaps back to secure itself around the branch. Once the trap is hanging on its branch, pull the installation pole away. |

Removing the trap is easy. Push the point of the snagger through the side hole and rotate the installation pole about 1 revolution clockwise. |
![]() |
Gently
pull the trap away from the branch. Again the plastic hook will spring
back to its original shape!
|

The
snagger can now be disengaged from the trap.
